IQAC is a formal mechanism of the institution to build and ensure a quality culture at the institutional level. The aim and purpose of IQAC are planning, guiding, and monitoring quality assurance steps in the activities of higher education institutions. It also channelizes and systematizes the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence.
The goals and functions of IQAC as envisaged by UGC are,
- To develop a quality system for conscious, consistent and catalytic programmed action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the HEIs.
- To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internationalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
